As every year, we can look back on eventful and exciting vacations.
In addition to our popular Mini Disco, Domino Day, the fun Nonsens Olympics, a road rally and an escape room on the subject of road traffic, there were once again numerous highlights.
The visit to the alpacas in Lungwitztal was a special experience. There, the children were not only able to experience the animals up close, but also acquire a small "alpaca driving license". As is tradition, this year we once again took a trip to the Chemnitz-Rabenstein climbing forest, where the children were able to put their courage and skills to the test.
Even bad weather didn't stop us: We were very flexible and postponed our planned visit to the Pelzmühle, followed by an adventure playground - and ended up spending a great day there. The children also cooked their own lunch on several days, which was great fun for everyone.
Our regular vacation rituals now also include a visit from the beekeeper, where the children were able to learn lots of exciting things about bees and their way of life. Another real highlight was the forest mobile, which visited us at Diesterweg Primary School in the last week of the vacation.
A child reports:
"The Forest Mobile"
On 21.07.2025, the Forest Mobile came to our school. We were able to get to know lots of different animals from the forest and even touch the fur of a fox and wild boar. Ms. Tansinne showed us what animal skulls look like and how to tell the difference between herbivores and carnivores. We played fun games and learned why the forest is so important and how we can protect nature. We also heard the animals' voices - now we recognize them!
It was a wonderful day!
